4 Quick and easy, no heat hairstyles with hair extensions

Updated: Mar 28, 2020

103 days until the Lil Lady is here. That's 2,472 hours... 148,320 minutes... or 8,899,200 seconds. Whatever floats your boat – that's how long I have. To celebrate my final moments as a woman who gets to go to the bathroom alone, gets decent enough sleep, and hasn't shoved a volleyball out of my vagina, I'm going to Hawaii! Babymoon 2020 is here and I'm very excited.

While I'm away, I want to focus on my hair as little as possible. The humidity wrecks my hair – we go into frizz status immediately – and I want to give my hair a break from the heat of hair tools. So, to prep myself, considering I haven't had long hair in a while, I wanted to get some practice in before I go.

For these hairstyles, I didn't touch a curling iron or straightener. These curls, I shit you not, are four days old in these pics. I give all the credit to these extensions, man, they hold style – I tell you HWHAT.

So without making you read paragraphs upon paragraphs of me blabbering. Here are four effortless, heatless hairstyles that make it look like you put a lot of time into your hair, but you really only spent a few minutes.

Number one

This one is mega easy and I'm sure you've seen it somewhere, but it's a favorite because of how simple it is.

1. Take two sections of hair at the crown of your head, but not by the front of your face, and put them into a ponytail.

2. Turn the pony in on itself, creating a topsy turned ponytail.

3. Pull at the two sides of the ponytail to loosen them and create some dimension.

4. Create another ponytail just under the first using the hair that frames your face.

5. Do another topsy turned ponytail and pull at the pieces, again.

6. Take a piece of hair from the bottom side of the two ponytails and wrap it around the elastic to hide the rubber band. Secure and hairspray.

Numbers two and three

These next two are fun takes on a ponytail that plays off part of the first hairstyle above.

1. Take two sections of hair at the crown of your head, but not by the front of your face, and put them into a ponytail.

2. Turn the pony in on itself, creating a topsy turned ponytail.

3. Pull at the two sides of the ponytail to loosen them and create some dimension.

4. Section off your hair into three sections - two smaller sections that frame your face and one main section you'll pull into a ponytail.

5. Take the two front, face-framing pieces and crisscross them over the top of the ponytail and wrap them under the base of the pony. Secure with an elastic.

You could leave the ponytail like this for something super simple and elegant, or for more fun, move onto the next steps.

6. Create another ponytail a few inches down from the base of the first and pull at the hair to fluff it up.

7. Take a piece of hair from the back of the second pony section to wrap around the elastic and secure by tucking the piece into the rubber band.

This would be super cute with a decorative scrunchie or a round brimmed hat!

Number four

I saved my favorite for last for you all. This last hairstyle is wild easy and looks so. damn. cute. I can't get over how effortless yet romantic it looks.

1. Section off your hair into three sections – two face-framing sections and a main section in the back.

2. Take a small section in the back and create a bun by beginning a ponytail and on the last pull through, pull the hair halfway through.

3. Fluff up the bun by taking opposite ends of the bun and pulling them away from each other. Keep doing this until you're happy with the look of the bun.

4. Take one side of the front pieces and cross it over the bun, pinning it on the opposite side.

5. Repeat with the other side of your head, crossing over the first piece and pinning underneath the bun.

6. Pull at the top, crown section of your head for added dimension.

And that's it! I know I'm not a beauty guru and honestly, explaining how to do hair via text is..... really fucking weird. But I hope the pictures helped. These hairstyles are damn easy. They're damn cute. I'm very stoked on them. Let me know your thoughts below!
